Race To The Stones 2016 Drone Weekend

Head of Design recently returned from Threshold-Sports ‘Race to the Stones 2016’ as the sole drone videography company, covering all aspects of the event from start to finish. Being part of the Threshold crew was a great experience and the military precision with which it was run was second to none.

The Race to the Stones (sponsored by Dixons Carphone) is a 100km ultra- marathon along Britain’s oldest path ‘the Ridgeway’. Along the route there is evidence of settlements stretching back 5000 years, as well as the famous ‘Uffington Whitehorse’ as can be seen in our video below:

Over 2500 people entered the event with varied fitness levels ranging from the first person finishing in 8hrs 20 minutes to the all night runners and the over night campers completing the course in the two days. Here’s a sneak peek of day one of the event with our drone footage in action.

With exhilarating views and inspiring efforts from all that were involved, we look forward to Race to the Stones 2017.
